Rheumatologist in Howell Township, NJ
Fellowship-Trained Rheumatology Care for Howell Township Patients
Arthritis, Rheumatic & Bone Disease Associates has been diagnosing and treating rheumatic and autoimmune conditions since 1974. More than 50 years later, the mission hasn’t changed: help you live better, longer, and more comfortably. Every physician at ARBDA has completed fellowship training in rheumatology and is board-certified or board-eligible. This is a dedicated rheumatology practice, not a general internal medicine office that handles rheumatology on the side.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all care. Every patient is different, and every treatment plan should reflect that. From the moment you walk into our Howell Township office, you’ll meet a team that listens, learns your full medical history, and provides access to advanced diagnostics, lab testing, and infusion therapy options built around your specific diagnosis and goals.

Here for Patients at Every Stage of Their Journey
Many patients arrive after a referral from their primary care provider following joint pain, unusual rash, chronic fatigue, or lab results showing elevated inflammation markers. But a referral isn’t required. Arthritis, Rheumatic & Bone Disease Associates welcomes self-referred patients seeking an initial evaluation, as well as individuals who want a second opinion on an existing diagnosis or a fresh assessment of a condition they’ve been managing elsewhere.
If you’ve had unexplained swelling, recurring flares, or simply weren’t satisfied with a previous answer, connect with our team. Early detection and treatment can help reduce flares and avoid unnecessary hospital visits.
Arthritis Diagnosis and Treatment in Howell Township, NJ
Accurate diagnosis is the foundation of effective treatment. At Arthritis, Rheumatic & Bone Disease Associates, the workup starts with a detailed medical history and physical examination, followed by targeted lab testing for inflammatory markers, including rheumatoid factor, anti-CCP antibodies, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR). We also use in-office musculoskeletal ultrasounds for diagnostic imaging of joints, tendons, and soft tissues without radiation. Musculoskeletal ultrasound can detect synovitis, effusions, tendon pathology, and crystal deposits in real time, sharpening both diagnosis and injection guidance.
Once we understand the disease and how it affects your connective tissue, we build a personalized treatment plan that may include oral medication, disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), infusion therapy, or physical therapy. Care is active, ongoing, and re-evaluated against your symptoms and goals.
Autoimmune Disease Management and Biologic Infusion Therapy
Autoimmune diseases can affect nearly every organ system because the immune system attacks healthy tissue, causing systemic inflammation and unpredictable flares. Long-term management goes beyond a prescription: it requires monitoring, education, medication adjustment, and, for many patients, biologic infusion therapy.
Arthritis, Rheumatic & Bone Disease Associates was the first independent rheumatology practice in New Jersey to offer in-office biologic infusions, completing its first treatment in 2001. Our IDYLLIC Infusion Treatment Centers are located within our offices, supervised by an on-site medical professional, and operate at substantially lower cost compared to hospital-based treatment. Across our seven offices, we can complete as many as 29,000 infusions for over 8,000 patients in one year.
