Access Your Health Information, Securely & Conveniently

The Arthritis, Rheumatic & Bone Disease Associates patient portal gives you secure, on-demand access to your health information without a phone call. Through the portal, you can message our team, view your records, complete paperwork, and pay your bill. It’s designed for established patients who want a direct line to their care team between appointments.

The portal is a HIPAA-compliant tool, so everything you send and receive is protected. Viewing and downloading your protected health information (PHI) through the portal is available at no charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Get Started?

Arthritis, Rheumatic & Bone Disease Associates encourages all established patients to enroll. You’ll receive an invitation to register. If you haven’t received one or need help getting started, call our office, and a staff member can walk you through it.

What Email Address Should I Use to Register?

Use an email address you check regularly and that only you can access. Your portal account connects directly to your medical and billing records, so a shared email address isn’t recommended.

Can I Access the Portal on My Phone?

Contact our office to confirm current mobile access options, as portal capabilities may vary by device and browser.

I Forgot My Password. What Should I Do?

Use the “Forgot Password” option on the portal login page. Entering your registered email address will prompt a reset link. If you’re still locked out, contact our office for assistance.

My Contact Information Has Changed. Do I Need to Update the Portal?

Yes. You must notify Arthritis, Rheumatic & Bone Disease Associates any time your contact information changes so we can keep your records current. Update your information through the portal or call our office directly.

What Can I Do Through the Portal?

The portal lets you send and receive secure messages with our team, access your protected health information, complete new patient forms, request medication refills, and pay your bill online. It’s built to handle routine tasks that would otherwise require a phone call.

Portal messaging is best for non-urgent questions, follow-up on test results, non-urgent medication refill requests, and general care coordination. Lab results are available in the portal once your provider has released them. Provider comments on your results may appear in a separate messages section rather than alongside the result itself. Don’t use portal messaging for urgent medical concerns. If you’re experiencing an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. For urgent medication needs, call our office.

What New Patient Forms Are Available Through the Portal?

The New Patient Form and the Credit Card Authorization Form are both available through the patient portal. Completing these before your first visit saves time at check-in.

Can I Share My Records With Another Provider Through the Portal?

Visit records and clinical summaries can typically be downloaded or printed for sharing. Contact our office if you need records sent directly to another provider.

Can a Caregiver or Family Member Access My Account on My Behalf?

Proxy or caregiver access may be available for authorized representatives managing an account for a dependent or elderly patient. Contact our office to confirm whether this option applies to your situation.

Can I Request a Correction to My Health Information?

Yes. You have the right to request that we amend your protected health information. We may ask that your request be submitted in writing and include your reasons for the amendment. Please note that Arthritis, Rheumatic & Bone Disease Associates isn’t obligated to accept or apply every amendment request.

What If I Don’t Want to Be Contacted for Research Purposes?

If you prefer not to be contacted for research purposes, let a staff member know at your next check-in, and we’ll note your preference in your record.

How Quickly Will Someone Respond to My Portal Message?

Our team works to respond to portal messages promptly during regular business hours. Response time may vary based on message volume and the nature of your question. For time-sensitive matters, please call our office.

I’m Having Trouble Logging In, or the Portal Isn’t Working. What Should I Do?

First, try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser. If the issue continues, call our office and a staff member can assist you.

Questions About Your Rheumatology Care

What is rheumatology?
Rheumatology is the branch of medicine focused on diagnosing and treating diseases of the joints, bones, muscles, and immune system. Rheumatologists manage conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, osteoporosis, gout, and more than 100 other autoimmune and inflammatory disorders.
How is a rheumatologist different from a general practitioner?
After internal medicine residency, rheumatologists complete two to three additional years of fellowship training in diseases of the joints and immune system. Every physician at Arthritis, Rheumatic & Bone Disease Associates completed this training. A general practitioner does not have this specialized background.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring any prior lab results, imaging studies, or records from your primary care physician or previous specialists. A list of current medications is also helpful. Your physician will review everything before the examination and use it to inform your diagnostic workup.
How does in-office infusion therapy work?
Biologic medications for conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis are sometimes administered intravenously rather than by pill or injection. Our IDYLLIC Infusion Treatment Centers provide this treatment inside our offices with a medical professional supervising every session, at substantially lower cost than hospital-based infusion.
Is in-office ultrasound the same as radiology imaging?
Diagnostic ultrasound in our offices provides real-time images of joints, tendons, and soft tissue without radiation. Unlike a radiology referral, every scan at Arthritis, Rheumatic & Bone Disease Associates is interpreted by a physician with specific rheumatology training, so findings are evaluated in the context of your condition, not in isolation.
Do you coordinate with my primary care physician?
Yes. We collaborate closely with referring and primary care physicians, sharing records and findings so your care stays consistent across providers. You won't need to repeat your history or serve as the messenger between offices.
